About us
What is the Community Council?
The main aim of the Community Council is to guage and express to Fife Council and other public authorities the views of our community. As such Creich and Flisk Community Council is an independent statutory body run by Community Councillors who give their time freely without remuneration. The Community Council attracts a modest grant based on a capitation allowance; currently this is of the order of £400 per annum. The number of Community Councillors elected to serve the community is determined by the number of residents within the boundaries of the Community Council area. Our Community Council currently has eight elected Councillors. Elections are held every four years. Creich and Flisk Community Council meets once every other month with meetings in October, December, February, April, June and August. The meetings are held in Luthrie Village Hall and commence at 7.00pm. The dates for the meetings will be listed on the appropriate webpage.
